Dallas, TX – November 5, 2026 – VICTORY Codeworks, LLC has submitted its commercially released MedsManager software as a solution in the MIT Solve® 2027 Global Health Challenge. The submission marks an important milestone for MedsManager, which was first entered in MIT Solve's 2022 Global Challenges as a proposed software solution and subsequently advanced to the semifinalist round.

“Four years ago, we presented MIT Solve with a concept for helping people better manage their medication supplies,” said Tony Farrell, Principal at VICTORY Codeworks. “Today, we're returning with a completed product that people can download and use. MedsManager has moved from an idea to a commercially available application, and we're excited about the opportunity to demonstrate what it can contribute to global health.”

Medication Supply Awareness and Continuity of Care

MedsManager is an iOS application designed to help individuals and caregivers anticipate when medications, supplements, and other recurring healthcare supplies will run low. Unlike traditional medication reminder applications, MedsManager focuses on inventory forecasting. Users record their purchases and quantities, and the software calculates projected depletion dates and advance-warning dates, helping them recognize when replenishment is needed before supplies are exhausted.

The application is particularly relevant to older adults, people managing chronic medical conditions, and caregivers responsible for maintaining supplies for family members or others in their care. MedsManager includes iPhone widgets, Apple Watch complications, historical inventory charts, and integration with Apple Calendar and Reminders. The application operates without requiring user accounts or centralized storage of personal medical information. Available through Apple's App Store in 175 countries, MedsManager has already recorded downloads in international markets, including Gabon and Russia.

The 2027 Global Health Challenge

MIT Solve's 2027 Global Health Challenge seeks technology-driven solutions that make good health and quality healthcare more equitable and accessible worldwide. The challenge places particular emphasis on strengthening continuity of care, improving the prevention and management of noncommunicable diseases, addressing the growing healthcare needs associated with aging, and reducing barriers to quality care. MedsManager addresses these objectives by providing an accessible tool for anticipating medication and healthcare supply needs. Its forecasting approach is intended to help individuals and caregivers identify potential supply interruptions before they occur. “Knowing when a medication supply will run out is a simple piece of information, but it can be tremendously important,” Farrell added. “Our goal is to put that knowledge into people's hands early enough for them to do something about it. That's what we mean when we say, ‘Know BEFORE you run low!’” The 2027 Global Health Challenge application period closes November 6, 2026. Selected Solver teams will receive financial support, access to technical and business expertise, and opportunities to collaborate with organizations working to improve global health outcomes.

From Concept to Commercial Release

VICTORY Codeworks' original MedsManager submission advanced to the semifinalist round of MIT Solve's 2022 Global Challenges, a competition that received more than 1,100 applications. It is intended for use by mature adults and caregivers with the goals of providing real-time projections of health consumables for themselves or the people they support, and for promoting health literacy by tying in public health data specific to personal medication regimens.

MedsManager was also designed for use in multiple languages, which is especially important and meant to remove the English language barrier and offer tools non-English speaking Americans can use to better understand and adhere to their prescribed medication therapies.

The 2023 Horizon Prize, powered by MIT Solve, seeks technology-based solutions that decrease carbon footprints in the rare disease healthcare space, while centering patient priorities. The challenge opened on April 10th, and winners will be announced September 20th. These events support SOLVE’s mission to drive innovation to solve world challenges.
